Oribe in Boston

Last week I shot an event for celebrity hair stylist, Oribe at Bijou night club in the theater district in Boston. I actually had no idea what I'd be shooting, it all happened so fast. Really all I knew was it was for Oribe and I had to be in Boston at 9:30 in the morning.

The event was for Oribe to do a few demonstrations on models in front of local hair stylists. Then after a lunch break all the hair stylists would be doing the same hairstyle showed to them on their own model. It was an extremely long day but it was a lot of fun and I met some amazing people that I'll be working with in the future.

The time has come again for another Third Thursday. It honestly feels like I shot November's Third Thursday not that long ago but a full month had past and I found myself at The Spot Underground for the All Inner Circle Affair. I'm going to just jump into my favorite photos from the night because I need to head out for work. Third Thursday's Live Hip Hop @ The Spot Underground 11.18.10

Last week was November's Third Thursday's live hip hop show at The Spot Underground. Muffin and Rudy hosted an amazing show. Third Thursday is the place to see the best hip hop in Southern New England at the best venue for live music in Providence.

WhoDem? headlined and gave Rhode Island an amazing performance to remember them by. They're moving to Florida and had to have a huge send off.

Third Thursday's Live Hip Hop @ The Spot Underground 10.21.10

Last week was Muffin's third Third Thursday's live hip hop show at The Spot Underground. It proves that the third time's a charm because the house was packed, the music was on point, and there were life sized puppets. Seriously, who doesn't like life sized puppets?

Here we have Shevon Young aka Muffin and the night's host, Rudy "Rudacious" Cabrera.

Providence Sound Session 2010

July 18th through the 24th was Providence Sound Session here in Rhode Island. Musicians of all genres came together in an all week music festival produced by the Providence Black Repertory Company in collaboration with the City of Providence Department of Art, Culture & Tourism. Some highlights for me were Tevellus featuring a belly dancer at the Black Rep and the SOL Soldiers of Life show at The Spot Underground. Here are a few pictures I took. I took a lot of video this week. I'm a little overwhelmed by it all but hopefully I will get it up soon.

Check out more photos here and for more coverage check out my friends' blogs: Sully's Cafe and 401 Sounds.

Click on the cards to above to see who is showing and also the schedule for the day. Attleboro is having a Winter Night Festival later on that and is free and open to the public.

There will be music and refreshments at the show and it is free and open to everyone.
