Photo Story // Maga in Portsmouth

Click image to see larger.I first came across Maga when New Hampshire photographer Dastardly Dave (link is not safe for work) posted a photo of Maga on his blog. Immediately I thought she was gorgeous and hoped to work with her one day. One day she came across my website on Twitter and we set up a photo shoot.

I went up to her neck of the woods in Portsmouth, New Hampshire for the shoot. I've never been there before so we pretty much had to wing the shoot since I had no idea what she was wearing and of any locations in the area. Maga was really chill and easy to work with for someone I've never met in person before. We had a fun time and are planning to shoot again in the near future.

Check out Maga's blog here (once again, this link is not safe for work).

Third Thursday's Live Hip Hop @ The Spot Underground 10.21.10

Last week was Muffin's third Third Thursday's live hip hop show at The Spot Underground. It proves that the third time's a charm because the house was packed, the music was on point, and there were life sized puppets. Seriously, who doesn't like life sized puppets?

Here we have Shevon Young aka Muffin and the night's host, Rudy "Rudacious" Cabrera.

Photo Story // Miss Mischief in Black and Blue

Click image to see larger.Last Saturday I had a quick shoot with Miss Mischief. It was my fifth time shooting her. We're definitely at the point in our working relationship where we she can text me and say "let's shoot" and in a couple of hours we find a random location and we just go for it.

Click image to see larger.I always have a great time shooting Mischief. For our past two shoots, MM got ready at my grandmother's house which was hilarious. My grandmother finds Mischief and her boyfriend quite interesting. She keeps asking in their tattoos are real.

Click image to see larger. The great thing about shooting Mischief is our shoots are quick! We get them done to about 20 minutes. All I have to do it aim the camera at her and she does all the work. She's one of my favorite models to work with.

Photo Story // Bombshell Clothing

Click image to see larger.Earlier this month I had the pleasure of shooting a spread for Bombshell Clothing. Bombshell is based out of New York and the lovely designer Keriann Correia came up to my neck of the woods for the shoot. I asked cousins Haley and Dani Giovannani to model for the shoot. This was my fourth (!) time shooting Haley but my first time working with Dani. Makeup artist extraordinaire Lauren O'Jea rounded out our team, giving the girls a modern pin-up look. Lauren tipped me off to this cool location with run down cars and it seemed perfect for the look Keriann and I were going for.

Keriann's clothing is cute and fun and playful, yet she takes what she does very seriously. Watching her style each outfit down to the rings the girls were wearing shows she really enjoys what she does and she's very passionate about it. I had so much fun working with Keriann that in a few weeks I'll be going to New York to shoot for her again.
