Photo Story // I'm Your Present

Last week I had a photo shoot with Providence, Rhode Island designer Kelly Eident of I'm Your Present. Lauren O'Jea did makeup and Jeannine Calia made three awesome party hats out of hair. Jeannine and Lauren are the best in the area at hair and makeup so of course it was a no brainer for them to be a part of this shoot. My models were Cory (who I've shot with before), Jessica, and Lorren. My vision for the shoot was to have these three girls dressed like candy kids going to a party running around Fall River causing havoc. Clearly they would be standing out if you are familiar with this town. It's a pretty drab looking place. Admittedly I was a little nervous that everything wouldn't come together in the end but once we wrapped the shoot I was so happy with how everything turned out.

A big thanks to Cory for thinking that I'm Your Present, Lauren, and I should do a shoot together and for introducing me to Lorren and Jessica. We all made a really great team. Another huge thanks goes to all the stores and people in Fall River that let us run in, take photos, and leave. I'm sure we left some people confused but some people were so helpful and even joined us in photos. Alvaro from Alvaro's Barbershop let us shoot all over his salon and TJ from TJ's Music even sat in with a guitar for a photo. With everyone's help it was a really successful shoot.

Photo Story // Nicole Lebreux Swimwear

Last Sunday I had a shoot featuring swimwear by Nicole Lebreux and IMSY, two designers that showed at Style Week recently. Luniac Style brought the fun accessories and Laura and Kristen at Gloss & Glamour salon graced us with their hair and makeup skills. The young and talented Annabelle Malloy styled the shoot for us. For her first time styling she did a wicked amazing job! My models Drea, Joanna, Sam, and Adriana were so much fun to work with and they looked gorgeous in the swimwear. A big thanks to my whole team for doing such a great job on bringing the shoot together! Be on the lookout for photos featuring IMSY Swimwear (ps - there are two sneak peaks on my Facebook fan page).

Dropkick Murphys @ Fenway Park

Yesterday I posted the photos from Mighty Mighty Bosstones portion of the show at Fenway Park. I mentioned that this was my third time shooting the Dropkick Murphys. The sun had set, the stage lights turned off, a spotlight turned on to the Green Monster which followed the Dropkicks as they came down, walked across the field, and came on stage. The crowd was going wild. Evey time I see them, be it in a large venue with thousands of people or a bar with a three hundred people, the show is just as energetic and fun. Tonight I'll be shooting Dropkicks again at The Whiskey Republic for their Shamrock N' Roll Festival.

These are just a few of my favorite shots of the Dropkick Murphys. Check out all the photos from this show on Flickr.

Mighty Mighty Bosstones @ Fenway Park

Shawn and I had the pleasure of shooting the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Dropkick Murphys at Fenway Park last week. This was our first time seeing a show at Fenway but it was my third time shooting Dropkick Murphys. I've never seen the Bosstones before so I was really excited to shoot them and check out their show. As expected it was high energy and so much fun. The crowd was pumped and sang along with every word. Seeing and photographing this local band at the home of my beloved Red Sox was such an amazing experience.

These are just a few of my favorite shots of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Check out all the photos from this show on Flickr.

Gear Works // Easy Canvas Prints

Awhile back I got an email from Easy Canvas Prints asking if I'd be interested in reviewing their canvases. I agreed because I never had a canvas print of my work before and quite honestly, I always thought of canvas prints to be a little old fashioned. But then I thought they totally don't have to be with the right photo. I wondered what photo to choose and then my abandoned beetle photo popped in my mind. It's one of my favorite photos I've ever taken and it was my first photo ever get explored on Flickr. Once it was picked out, I set about ordering it. The process was so easy!

They have this great preview section so you can get an idea how large your print is and its size in relation to furniture in your room. Also, the uploader has an image quality checker to let you know if the file you uploaded with be good enough for printing. You can then pick out the border you are interested in. I picked a black border because in my opinion, I think that looks best.

Once my package came in the mail I was so excited to open it. It is so cute! I love how the print came out. The colors are true to the original photograph which was my number one concern. I think orering a canvas print is a great alternative to matting and framing a photo. They would make gorgeous gifts and I'm thinking about ordering some of my texturized photos to give them an even more vintage effect by having them printed on canvas. Easy Canvas Prints definitely lives up to it's name.
