The Ichigo Black shoot

This past Sunday was my shoot for Boston designer Ichigo Black. Ichigo designs cute, alternative clothing influenced by Japanese street fashion. The clothing is fun and playful and I was super excited to shoot her clothing. I got two of my favorite girls, Blia and Mulan D to model.

Also got model/ hair stylist/ makeup artist Jayne Riot to do the styling. My fiancé Shawn was my assistant during the shoot.

Josh Willis, artistic director of The Spot on Thayer was kind enough to let us shoot there.

We shot for five hours but it went by in a flash. It was a fun shoot and I'm looking forward to working with Ichigo Black in the future. Check out the photos from the shoot here.

The Week in Photos 03.13.10

Trying a new thing with the blog. Seeing if I want to do a week in photos each week (like I don't take enough photos in my life).

I had a shoot with Jayne Riot and Miss Carnage last Sunday. That was a lot of fun. They're great girls to work with. You can check out those photos here, here, and here.

Finally read The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Thinking about re-reading all the Harry Potter books... Naw, I'll probably just watch the movies.

Got another piece of jewelry in the mail from Lush Punk. Look out for a shoot with Jayne Riot wearing it soon.

A couple of days ago I took behind the scenes photos for fellow photographer Dustin Genereux. He's a really cool guy and an amazing photographer. I'm sure some people think of photography as a competition but I'd do anything to help Dustin out on a shoot and I know he'd do the same for me.

Jayne Riot wearing Lush Punk and Sisters of the Moon

Earlier I made a post about the Sleeping Beauty necklace I received from Lush Punk (click here to read that post). This past Sunday I shot Jayne Riot wearing the necklace at the home of Sisters of the Moon designer Shayl. Shayl's clothing made a perfect accompaniment to Lush Punk's necklace.

I just received my SLEEPING BEAUTY Ornate Mirror Black Noir Necklace from Lush Punk, a gothic/punk/ noir jewelry designer on Etsy. I would go into Lush Punk but my compatriot Jayne Riot has already done that for me. I strongly suggest checking out her post on Lush Punk here.

I love the necklace. It has a good quality build for the price. Normally when you buy jewelry for under $20 you can feel the cheapness but not with this necklace. It's ornately designed without looking like cheap costume jewelry.

Look for the necklace to be featured in a photo shoot with Jayne Riot in the future.
