Spooky Digital Girl wearing Cyrahn designs

At the beginning of April I shot model Spooky Digital Girl wearing clothing from Lowell, Mass based designer Cyrahn. It was a long time in planning mode. After lots of emailing and stress, the day of the shoot finally came. Spooky was a delight to work with. I always wanted to shoot her and was so glad that I got to shoot her wearing Cyrahn's clothing. Miss Carnage was nice enough to do hair and makeup.

The Week in Photos 04.04.10

I'm a day late on my Week in Photos post. Yesterday morning was pretty busy for me and I was beat by the time I got home (more on that later in the post).

Last Sunday I shot Miss Carnage again. She's always fun to work with. I shot her on some heavy machinery, which she had no problem climbing up and jumping off of. Here she is touching up her makeup in one of the rear view mirror.

I've been taking more photos of the dog lately. I walked in my bedroom to find him curled up with his friends in his bed.

I had three shoots in a row the past three days. First off was my friend Peter, a local aspiring filmmaker. You can check out his photos here.

Next up was Miss Mischief. I've always wanted to shoot her. It seems like every other week she's on a cover of a magazine. Shawn got in some shots of her as well, which was awesome. He's starting to build his fashion photography portfolio and Miss Mischief was kind enough to pose for him. Check out Miss Mischief's gallery here.

Yesterday Shawn and I went to Lowell, Mass to shoot Spooky Digital Girl wearing clothing by desginer Cyrahn. Miss Carnage did hair and makeup. Spooky was a pleasure to work with. We didn't have much time to shoot yesterday so we're planning on doing a much larger shoot in the future. Definitely check out Cyrahn's clothing. The clothing is colorful, fun, and well made. The Week in Photos 03.13.10

Trying a new thing with the blog. Seeing if I want to do a week in photos each week (like I don't take enough photos in my life).

I had a shoot with Jayne Riot and Miss Carnage last Sunday. That was a lot of fun. They're great girls to work with. You can check out those photos here, here, and here.

Finally read The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Thinking about re-reading all the Harry Potter books... Naw, I'll probably just watch the movies.

Got another piece of jewelry in the mail from Lush Punk. Look out for a shoot with Jayne Riot wearing it soon.

A couple of days ago I took behind the scenes photos for fellow photographer Dustin Genereux. He's a really cool guy and an amazing photographer. I'm sure some people think of photography as a competition but I'd do anything to help Dustin out on a shoot and I know he'd do the same for me.

A happy mistake

This photo of Miss Carnage is one of those throwaway shots that I ended up loving. During the Fetish Flea every once in awhile my flash wouldn't fire leaving me with shots too dark to use. When I saw this one when I was reviewing the pictures in the camera I hoped that I could still use it and sure enough I could and I love it.

I had such a fun time shooting Chelsea aka Miss Carnage and Blia Sunday at Shayl of Sisters of the Moon's home. I took way too many pictures and I am working my way through them now. I love those two girls and I will be working with them again soon.
