Photo Story // My Year With A Sequin Love Affair
A year ago today I trudged over in the sweltering heat to the Fulton Ferry Landing at the Brooklyn Bridge Park to meet a girl I have been emailing with back and forth for a few months. She was a fashion blogger who was very, very nervous to work with someone new. After the first look was done, she said "did you get all the shots you need?" and I said "yup, I got it". I could tell she didn't believe me but she changed and asked me that after each look we shot that day. After I sent her the photos, she was very, very pleased with how the photos turned out. I didn't know then that Shira would become not just the client I've worked with the most in my career but a very, very close friend of mine, who I affectionately call "The Jew Wife".
It's great to see how she's grown and become more confident this past year. She still asks me if I got the shot but now I tell her to shut up. We have a beautiful relationship.
